"2nd room - 3 families booked this hotel over a year ago, hotel was cancellable and modifiable until the day prior to check in. I called hotel to update reservation and notify them of our date updates over a month in advance - plenty of time to resell dates for a busy weekend. ‘No problem, just let us know when you arrive at checkin’. I was told this for all 3 reservations because I called on each. Asked for a note on account.
At check-in ‘nope, can’t do that; call booking agency, Expedia’. Called them, on phone for an hour again, they called hotel directly, hotel would not honor policy because we were ‘passed check in’. Although they created the issue, they would not honor it.
Wyndhams worldwide are now unbookeable to this family. 100% never again. My sisters trip to Scotland? Hotel Cancelled. Her son’s trip to Miami? Hotel Cancelled. Honor your policies."
