"Overall great accommodation with good amenities. The rooms were clean, however I noted that the curtain had some staining. Quiet area with a boulangerie opposite and other small shops in walking distance. Easy access to Basel by tram approx 5 min walk "

"This place is off-site. The entrance has stairs, not friendly for travelers with big luggage, which I think should be most of the cases. It is clean. Served the basic needs. "

"I think it was wonderfull to be in this hotel. The service was so good and the lady insharge wa realy super good and nice to talk to. "We were really disappointed with our stay. The place was not clean at all — we found hair everywhere, which was very off-putting. The bathroom was dirty and had black bits on the floor, making it feel unhygienic. The freezer was also very dirty, with bits of hair inside it — absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, we specifically booked an accommodation with a terrace, but were given a room with no terrace at all. This was misleading and not what we paid for. To make matters worse, we were...

"It was a terrible experience from start to finish. The flat reeked of smoke, communication with the host was awful, and to top it off, there were large spiders. I reported the issues to both Hotels.com and the host, but the experience was beyond disappointing. Would not recommend."

"A+. Had a wonderful long weekend in Basel. The hotel is convenient to the tram and an easy 5 minute walk to the Rhine or 5 minute ride to Basel SBB. From the moment we arrived, we were happy. Am American traveler’s hotel - comfy beds, big towels, free bottlea of water, and ample room for living in the room! Highly recommend and would stay there again in a heartbeat! "

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Mercure. After a long drive it was so nice to have a swim in the pool and relax in the jacuzzi and sauna. The bed in my room was so comfy and the room itself was spacious and so quiet. I also loved the blinds to make the room completely dark. The hotel was really easy to find and luckily not far from the motorway so I didn’t have to navigate too far. I also ate in the restaurant and the food was really nice and the service was very good. I would definitely stay here again. "
