Favorite Part of Our Trip to Japan

This ryokan exceeded all of our expectations. It was so peaceful and comfortable, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We had planned to go out and sightsee during the day, but we ended up just staying at the ryokan all day relaxing. I would recommend getting a room with a private bath--it was so nice!

Welcoming staff, excellent meals, clean rooms

Keiryuso Siorie is an excellent traditional Japanese inn. The staff were welcoming, the hotel was clean and well maintained, and the food was excellent! I am thinking about going back again.

We felt very lucky to have found this gem right outside the Kamikochi Valley area. From the moment we arrived the service was unbelievable and friendly. We felt so incredibly welcomed. We then got to our rooms which were spacious and beautiful, we also had the private bath on our patio which was a really nice touch. The dinner experience was also quite amazing as they served traditional Japanese kaiseki style. Afterwards my wife and I took advantage of the private bathing that they allow after 11 PM where you can enjoy the entire bath just to yourselves. We were completely surprised to have this incredible experience here, we will definitely consider going back and recommend others as well :-)

We had a relaxing, lovely stay. Exceptional service and friendly staffs. We really enjoyed the private outdoor bath attached to our room & reserved indoor hot spring. The kaiseki meals were served in a separate dining room with privacy (which we liked a lot) and every dish was beautiful and delicious. One of staffs was a tour guide, so if you have some time, plan to venture out to the nature with the gentleman. We were little sad to leave early!

It is really amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful, providing excellent services. The room is very clean and the hotel does value its customers by providing some reminder note and preparing some homemade dessert for the customers. It is really warm and touching.

Nice quiet place this time of year.

Staff was very accommodating and it was a pleasant experience. Didn't see other places that we could eat so it is limiting in that way. Also it was nice an quiet but it's next to a huge parking lot and there;s another one not far away so it might be that when the "season" opens, it will become a very busy and possibly noisy place.

Wonderful onsen in the Japanese Alps

Keiryuso Shiorie was a wonderfully friendly and luxurious experience with delicious food specialising it seems in local produce. It's about a 45 minute drive from Matsumoto and would recommend especially to anyone wanting to do a little walking in the mountains from a comfortable base. We had a hire car, but it is on a bus route and easily reached.

Traditional Japanese Ryokan experience

This ryokan is a real hidden gem in the mountainous area of the main island. I have received a very warm welcome already at the bus stop from where I have been collected (it takes only 2 min to reach the ryokan by car). The people working here make you feel really special. Upon arrival I could choose a traditional gown (Yukata) which is very comfortable for spending the whole time while staying in the ryokan. I was very glad to have my personal little hot spring bath outside of the room, but also could enjoy the big onsen with the night sky view as well as the bath inside. Each guest has a private room assigned for the dinner and breakfast. The menu was extensive with several beautiful snacks, meals and desserts. Overall it was a unique ryokan experience and I can only recommend it.
