"Excellent "

"The room was sort of clean but had clearly seen better days. The bathroom was not great. The toilet roll holder had been pulled out of the wall by a previous guest and was just hanging there. The towel rail did not work and was thick with dust, the walls were scuffed and marked for what appeared to be a long time. I like the hotel, have stayed before but they do need to sort out the rooms "

"Staff helpful, old building and that’s why we chose to stay, breakfast was 1st class, large room, massive bed with en-suite. Very warm overnight had to open the window for some fresh air."

"Nice room, clean and plenty of space. Travelled for work, very handy being so close to Derby train station. Good breakfast included. "

"Rooms look very tired - need an upgrade. Temperature of shower not very warm. Breakfast was served on cold plates and the eggs and beans weren't warm so couldn't eat it."
