"The Zanzibar Retreat is a lovely beach front oasis, with beautiful gardens, swimming pool, and miles of gorgeous white sand beach to walk. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet. There are plenty of chairs, either on the beach or by the pool, and little nooks to sit with a drink or read a book. It was the perfect place to relax after 14 days on safari. "We added a quick stay here before our safari and we wished we had stayed longer at Zanzibar Queen. The pool and grounds were very nice. For the beach they provided water shoes (which are needed) but best to bring your own. The manager was exceptionally nice. "I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely.
