"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area.
I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely.
At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...

"Beautiful hotel! The staff was so friendly and service minded. It was a little difficult to find the hotel when driving, but you go into the Park Village. I would recommend to anyone! "

"Just to be clear: there is no pool. And the hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. But the service is 5 stars. And they clean every day, and change the bed and towels every 2 days"

"This was our first trip to Zanzibar and this facility was impeccable. The food was certainly international and tasty! Staff was attentive. Entertainment was great! There’s a range of options every night was different. I recommend it without hesitation."
"Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at The Mora. The resort is beautiful, very well maintained and spotlessly clean, with lovely pools, attractive grounds and a great beachfront setting. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were consistently friendly, attentive and accommodating. They are undoubtedly one of the hotel’s biggest strengths.
The food was good, with plenty of variety and a nice choice of restaurants, although personally I would describe it as good rather than exceptional.
My main criticism is the pricing of anything outside the standard all inclusive offering. I understand that premium drinks, specialist experiences and certain extras will carry an additional charge, but some of the supplements felt excessive. Relatively ordinary branded spirits attracted significant premiums, and hotel organised excursions could be considerably more expensive than equivalent trips booked locally.
For a luxury all inclusive resort, this sometimes created the impression that the basic package was quite tightly defined, with substantial charges once you stepped outside it.
My other criticism was the pool loungers, which had only one fixed reclined position and could not be adjusted, making them surprisingly uncomfortable for a hotel of this standard.
Overall, a beautiful resort with excellent staff and plenty to recommend it, but the pricing of extras took some of the shine off the all inclusive experience."
"The eco-friendly resort is a little gem. The cuisine is varied and excellent—even by Italian standards—with an outstanding breakfast offering both sweet and savory options. The air-conditioned bungalows, equipped with mosquito nets, were serviced multiple times a day, including the spraying of mosquito repellent.Efficient and very friendly staff.Top-notch security. A quiet, secluded location. The resort is connected to two other properties under the same ownership, featuring long beaches to explore and two additional restaurants.Highly recommended"
"The property is a gated resort about 1 - 1.5 hour drive from the airport and Stone Town. It is a typical Jamaican/Mexican/Costa Rican higher-end resort. I had the fortune of staying in one of the newer rooms, so the room was nice with all updated amenities. The mattress firm, which is not to my taste, so that would be my only complaint. The property is very well maintained two pools and a lovely beach. I am more of a beach person and the permanently affixed grass umbrellas provided ample shade from the sun. The food was excellent! I loved the soups on the menu each evening. I informed the staff that I had dairy allergy and they made every accommodation to fit my needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property offers a ranges of tours, so that you can enjoy other aspects of Zanzibar. There are currently sea urchins in the water, so you will need to watch were you step in the water. Yoga is offered daily except Wednesday and Sunday and the instructor is awesome. I also had two massages, both were very good for the price. No real complaints."
"Property grounds were nice. Rooms are a bit dated. The TV and telephone in our room did not work. Manager at reception was very accommodating and made our stay much better. The massages were excellent. Highly recommend them.! Wifi is awful! Love the balconies! The other downside is the beach, the beach is beautiful but you have to pay 25$ for 2 chairs and umbrella every day if you want to be on the beach. Otherwise they do have beach chairs on man made beach near infinity pool. Just depends on your preference! Food is ok. Nothing to rave about but something for everyone!"
