"needed a well needed rest after a busy year.After a long search of hotels around york we found this beautiful cottage just outside york,and needless to say it was just what we needed.lovely cottaged estate.we booked the 3 bedroomed cottage,fairview i think it was called.beautiful inside and out.no expense spared on the inside,very relaxing.we are already thinking about booking next year.would highly recommend."

"Good location for the south bay & spa area. Added bonus of the pool & spa area in the hotel. Bedrooms could benefit from curtains or black out blinds and the fire doors bang in other apartments which is quite noisey, but we have been twice & wouldnt hesitate to go back!"

"Very cute and quaint cottage with lots of greenery all around. Very comfortable accommodations, and the freshly baked loaf of bread was such a thoughtful touch. We wish we could have stayed longer! "

"We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "

"I love this place! I booked the smallest type of room - the boot room- and the two of us found it spacious enough to be comfortable. Everything is spotless: the room and it's amenities, the bathroom, common areas, the staff clearly keep it to a great standard. There was zero sign that a dog had ever entered the hotel, nermind the room! I need to know your secrets to removing all traces of pet fluff! The staff are incredibly friendly, warm and personable. They couldn't do enough to help when needed, including looking for late night open shops on my behalf and cutting new keys when we left our original in the room 5 minutes after recieving it. Love the relaxed vibe, the 24 hour lounge, and the decor. We can't wait to return!"

"Lovely beer garden with the option to eat meals in the beer garden Parking was a bit hit and miss as there are a lot of rooms and not a lot of parking spaces Staff were very friendly and meals very good Accommodation was very comfortable and rooms were quiet Highly recommended"

"Lovely spacious room in the cottage. Everything was catered for. Options for breakfast and dinner. We had a lovely sitting outside area which was handy on one of the hottest days. We parked in the long stay car park but then the lady on reception informed us that after 5pm the street was quieter and we managed to park our car nearby. "

"I LOVED this hotel. I’m a world touring cyclist and I love quiet and remote. This hotel was FANTASTIC. Idyllic setting high above the bay. Beautiful grounds. Lovely gardens. Stunning. The hotel just had a makeover and it looks beautiful! My room overlooked the sea—clean and comfortable and a great bathtub! Breakfast was plentiful and high quality. A dreamy stop as I pedal the UK. Many, many thanks! "
