"Absolutely fabulous if you're looking for a retreat in the country side. Access to Bovey Castle amenities is a nice feature. Enjoyed air rifle shooting range and hawking experience. Cottage is charming and local pub is a very short walk. Driving to the cottage on narrow windy roads is a little challenging but totally worth it!!!"

Jo was super good if there was an issue apart from the Wi-Fi was not great!!!!! We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain."

"Beautiful old building, the reception area/bar/lounge areas were fab. A little tasty around the edges....tables literally, but I loved the feel. The outdoor, heated pool was a real bonus....I didn't expect it to be as warm as it was! Only downside, I saw someone spraying the weeds around the Pool & was unable to find out what they used! The receptionist who checked me in was amazingly helpful & cheery. The rest of the staff were very helpful, but there seemed to be an apathy/ underlying issues, which made the staff seem aloof. For a one night stay it was perfect & I would happily stay again. I really hope the staff are looked after so they can give their best selves."
