"This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! "It's conveniently located with plenty of affordable dining options and markets nearby. It's a nice 30-minute stroll to the city center or to the Thames River. The 2 bedroom place itself was nicely remodeled. The city could do a better job maintaining the sidewalks."

"It was just ok. Location was excellent for us which is a big plus but let down by poor communications (no response to phone calls or emails at all). Check in instructions were sent, but after check in time. I wanted to confirm the arrangements upfront as it was getting to the stage where I thought I would need to arrange alternative accommodation. In addition, the flat itself was frankly, filthy. 10/10 Excellent

"Just spent one night here and it was fabulous. Everywhere was exceptionally clean, decor modern and airy, staff very friendly and the room was functional, clean and well laid out. There was even a choice of hard or soft pillows. Very modern bathroom, with a lovely large shower. If I had to pick one criticism it would be that the actual shower wasn’t powerful at all. For such a fabulous bathroom I expected quite a good shower. But if that’s all I have to pick up on then it was great! Breakfast was plentiful and hot, which isn’t always the case. We will definitely stay at a Hampton by Hilton again & highly recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, nicely decorated, excellent hotel. "

"Overall wonderful experience, all staff I encountered were courteous and helpful. Room was clean and fresh, bed comfortable and all linens smelled delightful! Located on a bus route, easy walk into town Centre, various shops/eateries a few minutes walk away from hotel. I will definitely stay there again. "
