Markville Shopping Center

For the price I would have expected for the tiles in the bathroom to be better taken care of. It looked like they had been repaired with silicone instead of grout. I would have expected better attention to detail for a luxury hotel such as a Fairmount.

The hotel itself was great (great location, air conditioning, clean room and the breakfast had good variety. Unfortunately the elevator situation requires me to significantly lower my rating. Every day we waited over 15 minutes for an elevator. Each morning during breakfast service the elevators would be full and we would nearly miss breakfast even though we left our room an hour before closure. Since the hotel keeps the stairwell doors locked, there is not an alternate route to get to the breakfast room. After the first day we chose to take the stairs when leaving to avoid the wait. When returning at night, the elevator line up would be all the way to the exterior doors. Because the bottom stair door was also locked, we did not even have the option of walking upstairs ourselves. It caused us a lot of frustration and stops me from recommending this hotel, despite its positive features.
