Edge of the Forest

6/10 Okay

"The room was really nice. A shame that we felt like we were intruding on the owners daily activity. They use a great electronic door access code.... As long as Steve (owner or manager) remembers to set it for your arrival. I then asked for an 11am checkout as I was riding in the morning. This was done via text as that was the way I received my access code (eventually). Next thing, there's a man at our door identifying himself as Steve "Hi Shane, I'm Steve, no you can't have a late checkout as I pay the cleaners so much to clean". ( This is exactly the words he used, whilst ignoring my wife in front of him at the door, and trying to look over my shoulder into our room. All this whilst we are trying to get our bags in to "our" room for the night. Fast forward to when my wife is having to move the rest of our bags out prior to 10am and our "friend" Steve is actually cleaning the room next door. So he is basically paying "himself" too much to clean, hence the flat out NO to an extension of 1 hour. It's a shame about all of the above because the location was amazing and the room was quite tidy and clean( great work on the cleaning Steve)."

Margarets Forest

10/10 Excellent

"The location is very convenient. Margaret bakery is just opposite. Woolworths and Coles are also within walking distance. The kitchen is easy to use. Only salt and pepper is provided though. The aircon is very powerful and we feel warm in the room. It’s very nice that the forest view apartment can directly walk into the woods from the patio. Overall we enjoyed our stay with our 2-year-old toddler here. "

Karriview

10/10 Excellent

"The staff at Karriview were very helpful, kind and friendly from the moment we arrived to when we left. The continental breakfast was really nice and they were using local produce. The room we stayed in was extremely spacious and the view was beautiful. The kitchenette had all we needed. The restaurant wasn’t open for dinner when we were there, however having table & chairs in the room provided us with a space to eat, however one evening we sat outside and watch the sun go down whilst having a light snack & wine. It’s a nice calm, quiet place to stay with so much space and bush around. You don’t hear any traffic from Caves Road. We will stay there again."

Grande Escape Resort

8/10 Good

"The resort was nicely maintained with good parking. We had a room with 2 x double beds which were very comfortable and clean. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap provided, towels were adequate but not much water pressure in the shower. There was a nice pool, mini golf course and kids playground. Has a coffee shop, bar and restaurant. We found the dinner menu a bit $$$ but very close to other eateries. As it was not the busy season the breakfast buffet was not available but you could order from the Cafe. Location was excellent just out of the main shopping centre so was lovely and quiet for sleeping. The staff were very nice and helpful."
