"Fantastic grand old property, in an amazing location on the Duoro River, brought to life by the very friendly staff. A private wine tasting was organised for us and was a very enjoyable experience. Elsa was great. It was raining a lot while we were there, so did not get to use the pool. The food menu could be improved. You can get here by train from Porto. Ermida station is just down the road."

"Would highly recommend this hotel - we had a lovely time staying at Ceuta. The staff were so helpful and accommodating - breakfast was amazing and the views on the terrace are so beautiful - we were so sad to leave ! It was very close to all tourist spots in Porto and we felt very safe staying here for 2 days. We also had a 1 person who needed gluten free breakfast options and they were so accommodating for that - 10/10!"

"if you dont mind 4 blank walls then this place is perfect. They do have a ceiling roof that you can open and a side window (both a hidden) that can open to let outer light in. This is essentially a capsule hotel but with a bigger room and a personal bathroom"

"Hotel was lovely & the staff were very friendly & helpful . Both the terrace bar & the back bar/restaurant were nice places to be. My only criticism was that I had a staff member with a noisy carpet cleaning machine outside my door at 08:30 one morning and a staff member vacuuming outside my door at 08:00 another day."

"Great hotel with a beautiful reception area. Staff went out of there way to upgrade our room for us as I had become ill when traveling. Parking is free and easy access if traveling with a car and the train station is a short walk down the road although we found using uber was about the same price to get into city. Highly recommend hotel especially as driving into Porto is a nightmare."
