"This is a beautiful authentic property. On my first visit I was given a lovely bright room. The rooftop cafe-restaurant is blissful. I love the unique architecture and design and art. Staff is OK but not Thai or Japan standard (must be honest). The location is not walkable, but Dakar is not the most walkable place outside a few blocks in the Plateau. The small restaurant produces excellent food, which was a nice surprise. I've stayed at four different hotels in Dakar just on this visit and this is outstanding and memorable."

"The hotel was great however the shower did not have doors so the water would go everywhere in the bathroom. I think this is why it smells like mold. Other than that, the rooms were fantastic, the staff were so very friendly and kind. I had a great stay at this hotel. I went with my mother and as two women, we felt very safe. "Breakfast goes until 10:00 a.m. At 9:00 a.m., the only food left was bread. The fitness center does not have any equipment that actually works. Things were broken in the room. Not worth staying here."

"Our Family Room could use a little refreshing, but aside from that, our stay was absolutely perfect. The breakfast and lunch kitchen teams were exceptionally kind and attentive, and the reception staff were equally welcoming and professional. I also needed to work during my stay, and the internet connection was excellent — fast, stable, and very reliable, which made a real difference. Food was also diverse and very good. I have stayed in many Novotel properties, particularly across Europe, and this one truly stands out as the best experience I’ve had so far. A special thank you to Ousmane, Safietou, and the lovely lady welcoming guests at the restaurant entrance for their outstanding service and warm hospitality. We will gladly return."
