Sergio was the BEST and made sure we had everything we needed in the way of a delicious breakfast each morning and recommendations for the day. "We were greeted by a wonderful friendly manager (owner?) who stopped traffic so we could find a free parking space, helped us with our luggage, give us great suggestions for sights and food and generally made us feel very welcome. "Il Santavenere is definitely a 10/10 experience. From the moment you arrive you are in a true oasis - just what you want from a break by the sea. The staff are all (and I mean all) friendly, personable and helpful. The rooms are luxurious, including the beds and washrooms, without being overly showy. The views overlooking the sea are stunning. Maratea itself is definitely a nice little town and Il Santavenere is a hidden gem in Basilicata. We're already planning our next trip back and can't wait to be there again!"
