"Amritara Beach Symphony is a little paradise. I loved my bungalow and enjoyed being close to the public beach where local families turn out to watch the sunset and fishermen haul in their catch in the morning. The pool is gorgeous, surrounded by lush greenery. The staff was attentive and helpful and arranged an amazing sunrise backwater boat tour. It felt like home-- would definitely stay again! Expedia needs to remove some of the older reviews for this spot as they don't reflect current...

NOT at all worth the money looting customers, spent so much but was shared with 6 families not peaceful!..asked for towels said 1 room 1 towel(more like long napkins) for 4 ppl. 1) The bathrooms and washing areas were smelling bad / extremely unclean… the taps were all fully dark and rusty
2) very salty water provided for all washing / bathing.

"Absolutely phenomenal property. There is a lot to do from fishing and kayaking to pottery and cultural programs. The staff too was exceptional. I regret not getting staff members names as they were very thoughtful and helpful. Highly recommend spending a few days at this resort."
"We enjoyed Backwater Resort very much. We stayed 1 evening before an overnight houseboat trip. We enjoyed the resort so much we returned for another day just relaxing. The staff are all super accommodating and everyone greets you in passing. 5 star service. The rooms are done very well with real wood furnishing.
