"Rally lovely place to stay. The sea view room with the balcony is to die for! Cocktails good too! Will definitely be back. Make sure you double check that you aren’t mistakenly double charged if you have prepaid. Not a problem as it was sorted."

"We had one of the refurbished rooms which we were thankful for, they have half renovated the hotel so far. We were very grateful for the fan they’d put in the room as it was hot. The room itself was nice and there was plenty of room. The curtains however did not cover the windows which did make the room lighter at night."

"Have stayed before and a nice hotel. Was very glad of the a/c on this occasion. Was World Cup on and asked to switch one of to to tonight’s game to no avail despite barley a sole in bar and no one watching either to. Was surprised not be advised I was being put in a disability room with chair rather than bath or standing shower"

"My partner have stayed at The Victoria a few times and will keep returning when life takes us to canterbury. Our most recent stay was due to a family emergency which became more complicated and protracted than expected. Staff at The Victoria couldn't have been more accomodating to our constant requests to extend our stay and were kind enough to jiggle thier bookings to allow us to keep the same room throughout to reduce our stress. This and their kind words made all the difference in a difficult time. Their hospitality is consistently excellent and we love how personable the service is compared to other hotels nearby which can feel a bit corporate and stiff. Breakfast selection and quality is excellent. Food offered in the restaurant for lunch/dinner is tasty, good quality, large portions and excellent value for money. Service is always swift and super friendly with special requests treated as no problem. Plenty of parking space which is free and only a short stroll into the town centre. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is slightly dated but clean. Our room was a basic double with a rear yard view but was clean. Bathroom was good and a powerful shower. TV and tea making as expected. There's no parking and on street outside the hotel is £3 an hour. Free parking between 6pm to 9am but that still equates to £27 per day. I managed to find free on street parking up the hill, about a 10 minutes walk away. Hotel is bang in the middle of all the bars and restaurants on the harbour and 2 minutes walk to the UK's largest Wetherspoons with lovely views over the beach and sea. Would stay again."
