The Corbett family was warming and welcoming.
Their hideaway is right in the middle of Manchester and is very easy to walk to all different restaurants such as the Crooked Ram and Seasons.
The grounds of the property were beautiful and relaxing.
Will certainly be going back!
The host family is there on the property. So check in was seamless. Problems could be addressed and rectified immediately. The two bedroom apartment was very reasonably priced compared to others in the immediate area.
The unit had plenty of parking and is walking distance to shops and restaurants. I recommend the Copper Grouse 2 minutes away by car
The kitchen is small. Dated but charming decor. Well equipped with modern stove. Microwave. Very spotless refrigerator and coffee maker (not pods. Ground coffee and filter drip)
The living room has a small TV. Internet. Comfortable for four.
The property has a very country rustic vibe. It is not the Ritz Carlton.
There are chickens (host gave us fresh eggs and showed my kids how to get them from the nest!). There are three large pigs that enjoy apples and leftover hot dogs. And two friendly dogs that made my daughter who loves dogs very busy.
The pond is picturesque and peaceful.
It feels remote even though it’s in the heart of Manchester.
The host wife gave clear instructions on hiking trails and we hiked three great trails all within 30 minutes of the property.
We saved money on breakfasts and lunches eating in and splurged for dinners out.
It is impossible to over state the memories we made and the friendships we kindled.
But be warned. It is rustic. Floor squeaks. Doors stick. Country sounds. But if you want to shoot hoops. Pitch a golf ball to a dog that retrieves it. And sip cider. Come
