"Good size room, balcony; good view. Great position. Gym and pool were both excellent. The bed was comfortable and the restaurant a good decorative standard. We suffered from lack of air condition in our room and felt that the hotel would benefit from a face lift"

"A great hotel with an outstanding staff team. Every member of staff we came across was professional, friendly and very helpful - from the extremely welcoming reception team, through the breakfast and bar staff, to a lovely groundsman who provided fascinating insight into the history of the hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was extremely spacious and well equipped; the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spectacular. As an older building, there wasn’t any air conditioning (a fan was provided) and the floorboards were creaky, but that was to be expected and didn’t detract from the beautiful environment and atmosphere. The hotel had a huge lake and a lovely garden area, with outside seating to enjoy the peaceful setting. This was our first visit but definitely a place we will return to."

"A stunning hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were very professional & polite. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was self service and with very little fuss. The food was piping hot and of very good quality."

"Stayed 2 nights in a deluxe room. As did our daughter and son in law. Both rooms were lovely. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. The hotel is in a great central location. We had room service for breakfast both mornings. Our daughter ate breakfast in the restaurant. Both were very nice. The only downside was that we couldn’t get the room cool enough during the heatwave but the hotel were quick in providing us with a fan to help. We would highly recommend a stay at The Chester Grosvenor. We certainly look forward to staying there agin."
