A beautiful historic hotel, quiet and relaxing. We travelled with our two dogs and were given a courtyard room that allow dogs. Room was very clean and comfortable. Dogs were provided with beds, bowls and some foodie treats. Hotel Restaurant food very good and the spa / pool area also good."

As the weather was so good we didn’t use the pools or spa but they all looked very good. Post Brexit staffing is very very difficult these days. "Beautiful old building, the reception area/bar/lounge areas were fab. A little tasty around the edges....tables literally, but I loved the feel. The outdoor, heated pool was a real bonus....I didn't expect it to be as warm as it was! Only downside, I saw someone spraying the weeds around the Pool & was unable to find out what they used! The receptionist who checked me in was amazingly helpful & cheery. The rest of the staff were very helpful, but there seemed to be an apathy/ underlying issues, which made the staff seem aloof. For a one night stay it was perfect & I would happily stay again. I really hope the staff are looked after so they can give their best selves."
