Hotels near Malahide Beach

"This is a travel hotel and not a destination hotel. It has become bland and lacks any sort of character. I am so fed up of the customer now having to do all the work. Online check in and then met by those horrible kiosk to check in and get your own key and then check out the same way. How have we come to devalue meeting an actual person in hotels? Yes there was one person behind the desk but the kiosk and online system seems to reign. The room was clean and well equiped and I would say recently renovated. Complimentary water, tea and biscuits were welcome in the room. Very good shuttle service to the airport."

"We only stayed one night before our flight after a 10 day vacation. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. I was very happy to have AC after the other hotels we stayed in did not have it. Breakfast buffet was well worth adding on and a great value for the price."

"Closest to the airport with great public spaces and restaurants. The shuttle is great. Just make sure you’re at the right Clayton airport property. Crazy there are two so close together."

"The rooms are very tired and require updating. Maintenance issues with the plumbing require fixing. Bath towels are no bigger than a facecloth. Never had a piece of beef that was tougher than my shoe leather. On the plus side breakfast was very good. Good location but not a lot about locally. Need to drive. Taxis are a nightmare as they do not seem to like going out that far."

"Great location. Very walkable and the rooms were surprisingly quiet. The staff was extremely helpful and kind but the room was than expected. It was a bit run down and smelled of old cigarette smoke in the bathroom."

"Malahide has been our go to for many years. The cricket ground has been a very special place for us as a family with great memories. We have stayed in lots of places around Malahide, this time we decided to stay in the Grand, 9/10 from checking in on line, self check in when we arrived, no need to go to reception, fantastic idea. Rooms amazing, the only thing, we couldn’t work the coffee machine, it just kept putting water in the cup! Yes we used the coffee pods. We did ask the cleaner to help, obviously he couldn’t help either. So no morning coffee was had. This was disappointing. To add to that it would have been nice to have herbal tea, and normal coffee, with sweetener's, knowing the machine didn’t work. We didn’t eat an evening meal in the hotel but the food looked delicious. Staff around the Hotel and sports centre friendly and welcoming."

"We only stayed for one night as we were flying out from Dublin airport and it was very convenient with the shuttle running every 30 minutes. The grounds itself with a hotel were stunning. Across the way was a park that would make for a beautiful walk or hike. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. I will see that the room does feel a little bit dated. However, the bed was super comfortable and it was very clean. I also think the room was exceptionally Spacious. I don’t know if there’s much around the hotel but like I said, the shuttle is only a five minute drive and drops you right off at terminal one and or terminal two."
