"We were so excited about our stay at the Rustic Lodge. Some friends recommended it and we were not disappointed, in fact it was even better than we expected. The family who runs the hotel could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The lodge was so comfortable and the dinner and breakfast were very delicious. It is located adjacent to the park so it was convenient to get to the entrance and return back after the park visit. We recommend this lodge to anyone wanting a lovely visit in a comfortable hotel."
"We were 4 women who booked 4 rooms. We arrived around noon and went into the park after some directions from the staff, leaving our bags in the parking lot. We returned around 5, were shown to our rooms and made ourselves comfortable before dinner. The family who live here and own/run the lodge were so friendly and welcoming. Dinner was fabulous... but you better be hungry because there's a lot of food... and complimentary drinks.
The rooms were comfortable and we each had a terrace or patio. The showers were nice, too! It was a great place to stay!"
"Bon déjeuner
Facile de se rendre au lac plitvice
Petit restaurant pour souper avec choix de nourriture correct, très utile quand tu as déjà marché 16 km tu peux rester sagement sur le site"
"The location is a bit further in than other options but you gain the benefit of entering the park via the less known/used entrance 3. We were able to use our entrance 1 tickets which allowed us to do route C in reverse...Upper lake and then lower lake...avoiding some of the crowd.
The owner provided these tips and more.
As for the room, it was larger than expected and comfortable. The highlight was the supper - the owner cooks on an open fire and offers a range of meat and vegetarian meals, including some local options like trout. Options for some great wine and deserts as well. Note food is cash only.
Overall, I'd stay there again without a doubt."
"It was a full 30 minute walk through an uneven terrain’s forest to get to the National park and it was quite confusing how to get there. A very basic but clean IKEA room, blow dryer kept overheating, powdered coffee in the room. Not a comfortable bed. Shower pressure was minimal. Breakfast was an extra 10E each at the next guesthouse and just so so. Next time I would stay closer to the park."
"Breakfast was okay. Lots of options. Parking was good and close to the national park. Upon check in the lady working was not very pleasant and seemed like we were making her job hard when he asked questions. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasnt open even though advertised as it was. We went across the street for dinner though which was nice. Our room was nice and clean however the toilet continued to run and we could not turn off. We could also hear ever single foot step in the building which woke us up. The pool was not heated and the pictures made it look like there was a jacuzzi but there was not. We were not able to swim as it was cold. Overall good short stay. Just had higher expectations. "
"This is a very unique property and feels like you are at a summer camp/cottage. I just loved it! The restaurant was nice and the food was good including the breakfast. Location to the waterfall was close by so you could see it from behind. It is close to the national park as well. Very nice and special place to stay."
"A rural village setting - quiet and I could easily see the sky full of stars. This is a well- finished 9 year old small hotel. I enjoyed a glass sitting under an apple tree in full bloom and the dinner was very good (nice crispy skin on the trout). Several comfy outdoor sitting areas. The room was spacious and well-fitted. Good water pressure in shower. Easy parking on site and a short walk to the quieter entrance 3 of the park. Staff friendly and thoughtful. No need for a/c for my stay - an open window was all that was needed, and I woke to birdsong. I highly recommend."
