"Great location for attending events, dining and going to the beach, all at a reasonable rate for the area and with a charm that is a true throwback to an era gone by.. "
"We've stayed here three years in a row. We absolutely love the location. Could do without $35/night to park but it is what it is. Rooms are clean, pool is nice. I liked the shower. We'll continue to stay here."

"Excellent service. Professional in every department the restaurant. The bell boy. The front desk. The property itself was amazing with the ocean front row and center. Loved it."
"I saw the amazing reviews and thought pshhh. Yeah we will see about this! And it did not disappoint. If you like history and charm and the hacienda style you’ll love this hotel. "
"I'm tempted to gatekeep this charming hotel, but they asked for a review, so... it's great. Location, amenities, staff, rooms - no complaints. Will definitely stay here again. "
"We stayed at the Laguna Surf Lodge for 3 nights in their peaceful 2 bedroom family suite. We had a very relaxing stay. The room was spacious enough for myself and 4 teen girls. The beds were so comfortable and pillows were like clouds! There was enough storage space for our group and the room had a small fridge and table with 3 chairs. Our room faced PCH, and although you could hear some street traffic the AC was enough “white” noise to block the street noise. They also have a white noise machine if you don’t need the AC. The oceanfront rooms are definitely something I’d like to experience on a future visit, though!
The property itself is beautiful! Plenty of outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the epic ocean views. There is a nice beach right in front of the hotel with chairs and umbrellas as well as some boogie boards for the kids.
The location in Laguna Beach is the best! You are a 5-10 minute walk to Main Beach—close enough, but not right in the middle of weekend chaos. There are also restaurants and shops steps away. Plus, the free summer trolley stops right in front of the hotel. We did not use our car the entire trip :)
The staff at this hotel was the cherry on top. Helpful and always available to answer questions. From the front desk to the valet and everyone in between, we never encountered anyone who was not happy to see us. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and family and look forward to our next visit!"
