Orla Copacabana Hotel

"Our experience at this hotel was good overall. The room was clean and in decent shape. I loved the shower water pressure it felt like a small water cascade. The construction noise outside the hotel kept us from sleeping late during the first few nights at the hotel. The pool (very cold) and the gym were small although the view from the terrace was beautiful. Staff was usually helpful and our breakfast server William was kind and greeted us every morning with hot coffee and a smile. He made our stay much better...Obrigado William!!!"

"if staff matters to you, then this hotel is for you. Everyone, and i mean every single worker there was amazing. Everyone is so kind and have a smile on their faces. They are always willing to make your stay better. There was always someone at the reception and at the door for safety. The room was well kept every day. The dinner served at the hotel restaurant was however deceiving. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!"

"The property has a great location, around a 10 minute walk to Copacabana beach. There are great restaurants in the area and the breakfast offered in the hotel is okay (could be improved by having more variety). The cleanliness is definitely something that should be worked on! We were left without soap and the floors of our room had sand even after being cleaned. Some members of the staff were very kind (in the breakfast area), but some others were not very polite. In general, it is a good place to stay."

"Good location and a staff that was, for the most part, friendly, professional, and attentive. Special thanks to Maria da Saúde and Rosângela from Housekeeping for taking such great care of our room, and to Renata at the Front Desk for her kindness, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. Unfortunately, our experience with Veronica, who appeared to be the Front Desk supervisor, was the complete opposite. From the moment we arrived, she barely acknowledged us, avoided even basic eye contact, and came across as dismissive and arrogant. Her attitude was not what we expected from a luxury hotel. We paid almost US$500 for an extra night simply to keep a room until the evening before our flight. Even then, after a nine-night stay, we were told we had to change rooms because ours was needed for another guest. It wasn’t the room change itself that was disappointing, but the complete lack of flexibility and consideration from management. Room 1234, especially the bathroom, is also in need of renovation and does not reflect the standards of a luxury hotel. While the staff made every effort to provide excellent service, the management’s handling of our stay fell well below the level of hospitality expected from the Fairmont brand."

"Excelente ubicacion cercana a todos los sitios de interes a visitar en el centro de Rio de Janeiro. Desayuno muy completo y variado. Mi habitacion tenía visya directa a la Catedral y desde el rooftop se puede apreciar Pan de Azucar, Cristo Redentor, Santa Teresa, La Catedral y otros lugares mas."
