"Stayed here on a visit to Wigtown in late August 2026. Communication was great with multiple emails confirming reservation and instructions. Although there are no staff of duty the instructions on how to get the key were timely and detailed and we had no problems at all getting in and checking out, and we arrived late. "Inn was closed so no food or drink. No notification prior. Looked like I’d be only person the premises. Expedia took payment prior despite instructions saying property would take payment. The inn still expected payment.Ended up being sent to another hotel which was much nicer."

"We arrived slightly earlier but Derek had left the house key in door for us to let ourselves in. He called later to check everything was OK and showed us how to open the hottub lid . It was all ready to jump in and very warm. Cottage was modern and everything needed was provided, towels, bathrobes for hottub, cutlery and plates etc. Excellent front garden for playing football with our son. Overall couldn't fault it and had a relaxing stay."
