"Superb hotel! They had the kindest, most welcoming hotel staff I have ever encountered. We were warmly greeted with a welcome tea, and the lady at the front told us about the property and showed us around. There were two hot tubs, a cold plunge, and a steam room. The massage was great. Breakfast was included and had fresh fruit, eggs, little breads, juice, coffee. We also did a trail around the property and saw horses and a waterfall. The room was clean and cozy. "We chose the lodge on the recommendation of our tour guide company as a retreat to chill out after a busy 8 days visiting the Galapagos and Amazonia. It was indeed a

location where my wife took advantage of the resort

and I was able to enjoy the scenic walks and spot a few bird varieties. The food and hospitality was good. A few of the treks were restricted and that was the only negative point."

"The hotel itself is beautiful. The lobby, pool and restaurant areas are really nice. The rooms are not that special. We stayed in a basic room and in a suite with a jacuzzi tub and both felt a bit cold. Not a lot of decoration or comfort. The second room was a little bit dirty and I was shocked that for that price there was a few stains and damage to the furniture. The fridges in both rooms did not work. I don’t think they are broken but it is a design flaw where they overheat and it is not...

"A very nice full-service property. I had a very good dinner that was reasonably priced. And the exercise facilities were exceptional with a pool, exercise equipment rivaling a dedicated gym. My standard room was spacious, with a desk, sofa, and chair. It had a mini fridge and the bed and sheets were very comfortable. Breakfast was included and it had many options. My only complaint was that the internet servicing my room was often not working (though it was fine else on the property)."

"I liked the funky, chic designs in the hotel. It made a change from the corporate feel of so many other 5-star hotels. The rooms were terrific. I particularly enjoyed my large bathtub at the end of my bed. The bathroom was well equipped with a decent shower. I was surprised however there was no bathrobe, unless they forgot to leave one. The WiFi was horribly slow which is worth noting if you are there on business travel. "
