"The stay was enchanting. Our room overlooked the Mara River, allowing us to watch the hippos bathe daily. The staff was invariably friendly and smiling. Rose, our waiter, was perpetually cheerful. Caleb, in housekeeping, delighted us with charming notes. Moseka, our safari guide, impressed us with his extensive knowledge and knack for finding incredible spots. Nancy, the hotel manager, made it a point to check on us daily, ensuring our satisfaction. In summary, the experience was exceptional,...
"Amazing safari camp! We loved every second of our stay. Special location with access to Maasai Mara but located on conservancy with elephants and giraffes surrounding area. Maasai guards escort you to camp always felt safe and cared for. The staff is amazing. Many are Maasai and are passionate about sharing their culture and knowledge with you. Took walking safari with Nixon - learned so much. Abraham was our safari guide - incredible person with amazing gift to find animals. Saw...
"Toilets require a good improvement as they are very old with tiles broken and bad smell in water and so. But food once told for vegetarian good food was served. Even regarding staff, they r very cordial and helpful and their dance after dinner really stands as a best part of complete stay"
"This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The beds are very comfortable. The food is absolutely amazing. The staff is so helpful and accommodating, they really made everyday of our trip absolutely wonderful. We will always remember this trip and the special experience we had staying at Mara Major Camp. "Massively impacted by rain floods which made main road leading to and fro the lodge near to impossible to navigate on or over. Rivulets and erosion break offs.
Staff dedicated and committed, food varied and 3-meal buffet style offered plenty of choices.
Accommodation naturally rustic and 'hut-like' as one would expect and seek out on a Safari tour. Electricity generally generator-powered and solar-supported.
Nice rustic setting overall and strong efforts made of daily outdoor maintenance being...
"Fantastiskt bra tented camp alldeles utanför Talek Gate. Nyrenoverat och fräscht. Mycket bekväma tält. Vällagad och god mat serverades i restaurangen. Trerätters fasta menyer för både lunch och middag. USD 20 per person och måltid. "
"Impeccable service from check in to check out. Their attention to detail is unparalleled. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. Truly a five star experience. Definitely would come back again and recommend to everyone. "

"The Fairmont Mara Safari Club was an unforgettable experience, enhancing our 10th wedding anniversary. Hannah Gitau and Miriam Akhonya’s communication and attention to detail, along with the staff’s care, made our stay smooth. Charles and Eddie’s orientation was excellent.
Our room had a welcome message from Jackson and team, who kept it stocked and clean. We had a stunning view of hippos from our room. Staff recognized us by name in the lobby, and David at the bar knew our drink orders. Rose, our server, was attentive, and other staff like Shiko, Kilonzo, and James contributed to our experience.
Game drives with Alfred and Steve were highlights, spotting the Big Five and exceeding expectations. On our last day, Lamson and Steve made the drives exciting. William, Mary, Winny, and others made us feel like family.
We cherished the boma dinners and surprise celebrations. We hope the staff are recognized for their work and interns can join the team. Thank you for an amazing experience.

"After spending over 30 hours researching camps in Kenya, choosing Masa Major Camp was one of the best travel decisions I’ve ever made. It didn’t just live up to the glowing reviews—it far exceeded them.
From the moment I arrived, the experience felt more like joining a warm, welcoming family than simply staying at a lodge. The staff were incredible—attentive, genuinely kind, and made me feel at home every single day.
The game drives were absolutely unforgettable. Our guide seemed to know exactly where to be at the right time, and we saw breathtaking wildlife moments I’ll never forget. Having breakfasts and lunches out in the bush—surrounded by stunning scenery and wildlife—made the experience even more magical.
And the food back at camp? Outstanding. Easily on par with (or better than) any five-star restaurant I’ve been to. Every meal felt special, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared.
If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience that you’ll never want to leave, I cannot recommend Masa Major Camp enough. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve gone."
"We stayed 2 nights, the property was beautiful right in the middle of Masai Mara. The rooms were good except that they were a little too dark. Little more lighting would have been good. We had the presidential suite so we had the whole suite to ourselves which was nice.
Food was good, lot of variety (vegetarian and indian food options).
One downside was power getting cut both nights we were there for a little time."

We will never forget this trip and can’t wait to come back. Food was excellent - Lynette and Regina gave caring service. Recommend highly and hope to return soon! Ansante Entumoto ❤️. "
"We just completed our stay at Mara Intrepid camp. It was an unforgettable experience! Great location right on the Talek River. Excellent food with lots of options (plus a full bar), and the staff really go out of their way to ensure the comfort of each and every guest. The tents have lots of space and all the comforts we are used to at home. If you’re booking a safari game drive with them, do insist on a Toyota Land Cruiser over the Land Rover."
