"First if all I would like to say I don’t usually review but felt it necessary in this instance.
The room we had was OK but very noisy as you can hear every creak when you or somebody above is walking across the floor or past the room in the corridor outside.
Cleaning was very poor as after cleaner had been, the beds hadn’t been made and the floors hadn’t been cleaned as bits were still there from before they started.
The evening meal was a joke as you had to go to the bar and order and there was no table service. I had to carry a bottle of wine in a cooler and two glasses back to our table which was quite a walk from the bar.
The bar service was even worse as big queues each time you went to get served and the garden bar at the front didn’t even have a server on one time I went and I had to go inside to get a drink and carry them down the stairs myself.
The food was OK but nothing brilliant.
Breakfast room was well run and food was hot and plentiful, but sometimes had dried out under the heat lights but overall it was good.
Staff were pleasant but not over friendly only the ones on reception were friendly and helpful when they actually had anyone on reception which often they didn’t.
Parking was fine as we got a parking space when we arrived and as we didn’t use the car again until we left.
Needless to say we won’t be stopping here again."
"We have stayed here before, I payed for a sea veiw room but got a room were we had to keep curtains closed when in room as the imperial hotel was our veiw we could see the sea if I was upto window and looked left could see a bit, couldn't change told it was full and on checking out told it was classed as a side veiw very disappointing and payed £20 extra for it"
"It is a lovely hotel in a beautiful area, the only problem is I booked a deluxe room which I didn’t get and I know this because I stayed there on 18th august 25 in a standard room which was exactly the same as the one I was in, I also did see a far better room near us"
"Please avoid at all costs. I’m a traveller who rarely complains but this place is a dump. It’s a Marriott and I’ve never stayed somewhere so poor on so many levels. The response from management was poor. Their generic emails post stay were worse than their mediocre attitude during. Noisy hotel. No sound proofing and people running corridors all night on a Wednesday! Overpriced and poor value for money. Do you and your friends and family proud and avoid this hotel at all costs! Do not waste a penny on this hotel it’s truly awful. Pretty sure all the social media guys will be staying there soon to review it and show exactly how bad it is!"
"Great for the price you pay! Rooms a little dated but very clean
Staff friendly but felt for guy in reception as one covering reception during 3-330 so was a queue ….
Didn’t use restaurant at all so can’t comment
Central good location
Value for money
Would return"
