The amenities were lovely. Kitchen and laundry was perfect for this leg of our trip. Staff were very kind and kindly spoke English with us. To main areas it is a lot of walking so if you don't have a car or plan for transit it might not be ideal. We had a great stay. We would stay again.

Perfect base for a couple of days passing through Lyon. Easy to park and ideal for exploring the Tete d’Or. Rooms were clean and had had good amenities, easy access using key cards.

The location with several hotels in the area that provided places to eat meals and pick up other food was outstanding. The front desk at the hotel would do well to put together a list of places to eat both in the immediate area and across the river, which is adjacent to the hotel.

Good location for congress

Great location if attending a congress at the congress venue. Rooms equipped for minimal self catering and very comfortable. Breakfast is ok, however, probably not worth 12 Eur.

My stay was great. The staff was kind and very easy to talk to in English. The room was clean and had everything I needed for my trip. Sometimes at night, the elevator was a bit loud, and it wasn't enjoyable, but other than that, I thoroughly recommend this place.

Nice hotel for business trip

I stayed here for a conference. The place was clean and I liked having a fridge and a kitchenette. There was air conditioning too. My only complaint (tiny one) is only one elevator was working while I was staying there and sometimes I had to wait quite a while.

First the property is hard to find and is located behind the main road and buildings - this is challenging if you are coming by car. The front desk person couldn't communicate in English and after an exhausting day and getting lost due to lack of clear directions, it was a frustrating experience. They offer breakfast but when we arrived the day old croissants were still sitting by the front desk and they took them to the back and stored them - not sure we wanted to consume those croissants the next day so we got breakfast from a cafe across the bridge which was really good.

4 Night stay during business trip (solo)

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Lyon for the Congrès de Lyon, and it was an excellent experience. The location could not have been more convenient—just a one-minute walk from the conference venue, which made attending sessions and networking incredibly easy. The hotel itself exceeded expectations. The room was exceptionally spacious, almost like a studio apartment, with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area—perfect for longer stays or simply having the comfort of extra space. Their breakfast, offered at an affordable price, was more than sufficient to start the day well. I also really appreciated the staff at the front desk. They were consistently respectful, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, it was a seamless and comfortable experience that I would definitely recommend for anyone attending events at the Congrès or visiting Lyon for business.

I recently stayed at Montempo, Cité International in Lyon for two weeks and had a great experience. I was accommodated in a spacious 2-bed studio equipped with an electric hob, fridge, and microwave. The service and cleanliness were excellent, which made my stay comfortable. There were only few minor inconveniences. The microwave lacked a grill or oven function, which limited my cooking options. Additionally, the liquid bathing soap provided ran out quickly, and I had to use the duvets from both beds for extra warmth. Despite these small issues, the location was incredibly convenient for my meetings at Cité International. Overall, I highly recommend Montempo for its good service, cleanliness and convenience.

It's in a quiet and safe area of town right by to the botanical garden, zoo and beautiful park. The bus stop and various restaurants are right by the residence so it makes things convenient. The only thing that is not as convenient is that there are no grocery stores within minutes of walking distance and to get into town will require a 15-20min bus ride. But the buses come quite frequently. There is local parking underground in Cite P2 that can be purchased per night with the hotel stay. The room itself is clean and spacious with everything you need for a kitchen (stove, microwave, dishwasher, sink, plates, pots, cutlery, kettle, toaster). There is self serve laundry machines. Room service is only for the day you leave unless you specifically request and pay for it during the stay, which was fine with me since I didn't need room service during my stay. The Montempo entrance sign (on the ground floor) is not very big and easy to miss (but it's right beside restaurant 33 - which has a huge sign). I love the security feature on the elevator that requires the room key card to activate your respective floor, so strangers without the key card cannot just wander up to various floors unless they follow someone.

This is not a hotel but a managed apartment. Checkin was slow and 1-hour early checkin was denied. No cleaning service during my 2-night stay. They even wanted to charge 10 euros to get a towel. Minimum amenity. Worst part: Expedia price was 10 euro more than the front desk price.

Room was full of dust, I've talked to reception and they offered a different room but it was in worse condition. Kitchen utensils were dirty and damaged. No change of towels until a week. They are using probably same detergent as shampoo, handwash and detergent. Sustainability goals shouldn't get in the way of proper hygiene.
