In Lyon for a romantic weekend. An excellent hotel - very clean and new with a great boutique feel and amazing view.

Short break

Lovely hotel in great setting. It is a steep climb back up to hotel when visiting Viuex Lyon on foot but best way to get around. Plenty of options for food and drink nearby. Only downside at present is getting luggage to and from hotel whilst roadworks are being carried out but this is temporary

Beautiful hotel and comfortable room. Be aware that there is quite a steep hill if walking to the hotel which may be difficult for people with mobility issues.

Great stay, wish we had stayed longer!

Wonderful view of the city, and a great outdoor area to hang out! They also gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations. If you are arriving by car, parking is a bit difficult, but there is a large underground parking structure about 5-10 minutes' walk away. Large spacious rooms also.

Words do not do this hotel justice. The view from this 16th Century Fort, that has full, modern amenities, was beautiful. The courtyard that houses a cocktail & wine bar, along with a local food truck, was a perfect way to finish the day after walking throughout Lyon. The staff was extremely helpful, and the breakfast was a lovely spread of local ingredients. There is a beautiful, outdoor breakfast area, that overlooks the Rhone river valley. Excellent, excellent and beautifully unexpected!

Location is in a hill. The problem that we had is that they arranged our taxi to the train station and it charged us 35€ without a taxi meter when an app Taxi would have charged us less than half!

A Truly Luxury Hotel Overlooking City Lyon

Perfect location among artsy and understated residential area. Bus C6 takes you directly from Lyon Train Station to the bottom hill where the hotel, an ancient fortress, is on top of the hill overlooking the river and Lyon. A nice 15 minute flat road or a quick shortcut stairs walk to the hotel. I came a couple of hours early and the staff put my luggage in storage and even found a vase for my 1 single rose (a Mother’s Day gift). There are excellent family run French restaurants and bakeries within 2 minute walking distance from the hotel. Neighborhood near the river bank has more boutique shops, restaurants and eateries. I used the 2 extra hours walked to/back from the most famous church. Night having a sip at hotel’s bar with river and city view is priceless. Truly a luxurious hotel, location, facilities and services/staffs.

Yes, the room was spotless and easy to navigate, even the shower operation did not require an advanced degree in aquatic engineering. I liked the high ceilings and decor, space allotment and the bedding was flawless, both in linens and pillow/cover quality. regarding staff: welcome was kind and efficient on Feb. 12.'26. I had a good impression and was glad to have arrived. The checkout at 6: am on Feb. 14.'26 was less so. The young men on duty was friendly enough but had no concept of helping a senior guest with luggage. I managed the front stairs of the hotel, in the rain with some difficulty as I wanted to hold on to the railing as well. This young attendant might appreciate a little more training in becoming aware of how he could enjoy his duties more and be better remembered by you guests, -- especially at the occasion of a departure in rain. - No hard feelings, I am glad to return at another time and will recommend your hotel to friends and family. Lastly: I think I left a phone dadptor and a line in my room # 105. If you found it please keep it with my name, I will have it picked up by a friend. Oppholdet var helt ok. Super utsikt fra hotellet fra byen. Hotellet ligger på en høyde så det er ganske mange trappetrinn fra elva opp til hotellet. Fin atmosfære. Frokosten er som ellers i Europa helt ok.
