A charming hotel with a great vibe. All of the staff from the front desk to the cleaners were super helpful, friendly and welcoming. There is nice communal space to relax and lots of information on local attractions. Our room was a little basic but clean, comfortable and quiet. There was a kettle in the room with tea/coffee bags available for free at reception, where you could also find a daily detox fruit drink...very welcome after a heavy night. The real gem though is the attached jazz bar/restaurant. The live music was fabulous, food and service superb. I will definitely be back the next time i visit Lyon.

Mixed opinion
I have mixed opinions about this hotel. I like the concept of this hotel. However, the hotel pictures are quite different from reality.
I didn't like the location of the room. It was on the lower levels.
Breakfast was ok.
All in all, the price is quite fair. However, I wouldn't choose this hotel again. Pity!
Location is great, convenient to reach city centre but not too lousy. Service is also great with lots of friendly staffs. Cleanliness could be improved. it stated there is parking facility but actually there is no parking. You have to go to Q park nearby which is quite expensive.
I think the brand has taken it too far with the whole environmental slant. It's funky to the point of being slightly ridiculous. I was in Lyon in late November and the heat couldn't be turned up above 19.5 C - and there is some corny message by the thermostat about conserving energy (it's not conserving the energy that's corny but the message was). The ceiling is black rough surface. Still gives me the heebie-jeebies (I shouldn't have looked up, lol). But the room and bed were relatively clean. I didn't think I'd have a good night's sleep, but I really did. Breakfast was pretty good too for 12.90 euro. The parking garage that the hotel suggests to all guests charged me 32 euro for 15 hours. I thought the hotel had 15 euro max written on the sign at the reception but who knows. Overall, not bad.

Eco-friendly
I booked this hotel as I thought it was close to all the sights of Lyon. In hindsight, I should have stayed closer to the old town. Having said that, most sites are around 30-40 minutes walk away or can be reached by tram or metro.
The hotel itself is nice, albeit a bit rustic. When I arrived to my room, it was hideously hot. The air con wasn’t working, despite being ‘on’. I told the hotel staff and they offered for me to switch rooms if it didn’t work. I thought this was nice of them but in the end, they did fix it and I stayed in my assigned room.
The carpet was stained and the bathroom felt like there was no air; however, the rest of the room was fine. The bed was really comfy as was the pillow.
Staff were helpful with answering all my questions and generally very friendly.
If you are ok to enjoy walks to get to the sites, then this is a nice place to stay.
There is also a real sense of eco-friendliness in the hotel, which is great to see.
Great staff - professional, courteous and helpful. Very comfortable and clean room, has everything necessary for a pleasant stay. Terrific location, in terms of transport, restaurants and walkability. Would thoroughly recommend Greet Hotel.
room was super comfortable (even in the heatwave) and we had plenty of space. the location was really convenient for getting around, and considering the location it was really calm and quiet. the staff are all lovely. Will def stay here next time i visit Lyon.
The room is bare. No side tables by the bed for you to put your things. Pathetic layout with no amenities. You can’t put your things in the bathroom. No space for your toiletries bag or your clothes. Never had I come across a hotel so poorly designed . Avoid Room 308 at all cost! Very disappointed .
