Top Lymington Hotel Reviews

Village Hotel Portsmouth
8/10 Good
"Decent hotel for a last minute night stop. Dislike the self check in process. A member of staff was on hand but was constantly busy dealing with customers having difficulty. Room was fine enough. Compact but with 6ft bed. Bed was on the firm side as were pillows. Bathroom has a good sized shower and was only room with a window. Air conditioning was a bonus. Lack of electrical sockets in room. There are USBa sockets by the bed but pretty useless when much tech has now moved on to USBc. Would we stay again? Probably. Good value for a night."

Leonardo Royal Southampton Grand Harbour
10/10 Excellent
"We spent a long day traveling to the hotel. 10 hours on the plane and 3 hours on bus, train and cab to get to the hotel. This hotel was near the cruise harbour and previous reviews said it was nice. What very pleasant surprise when we entered the doorway to the Leonardo Grand Harbour. The concierge greeted us with cheerful salutation and said let me take your baggage and he would make sure it gets to the room after we check in. What a relief not to have to move it around any more. As we were checking in the hotel staff handed us a refreshing cool drink. When we checked in and received our keys, the concierge asked if we were going on one of the cruises. After we confirmed, he asked which cruise and what time and he would arrange for a taxi to pick us up and take us to the cruise ship in time for boarding. Another task no longer needed to arrange. Quite nice. We were tired so we ate at hotel and the food was excellent. A very nice room. We included breakfast at check-in. I will say the breakfast was excellent. A buffet with many tasty choices. The concierge held our luggage after checkout and when the taxi arrived he helped the driver load the luggage. The Hotel was top notch and the concierge was the highlight and made the stay memorable."

Hampton by Hilton Bournemouth
10/10 Excellent
"Air conditioned! A big relief as visiting during a heatwave. Very comfortable. Good position, close to the centre of Bournemouth but far enough away to be quiet away from the hustle. 5 minutes walk to restaurants and 5-10 minutes walk to the beach. Nice big reception area, plenty of seats, relaxed atmosphere. Had a twin room. Everything that was required. In room 428, nice view of the sea from the floor to ceiling window. Good size bathroom with shower, no bath, but that was fine with me. 428 was interconnecting room so was a bit worried about noise coming from next door. Luckily during my visit, didn't hear anything. Maybe there was just no one there! Comfy bed, slept very well, room was perfect temperature thanks to the air con. Breakfast was great, decent choice, even a waffle maker, producing a nice, big fluffy waffle. Usual cooked choice, cereals, fruit. Something for all. Again, nice relaxed atmosphere. No restaurant but they were serving curries and pizzas. I saw a pizza being served, looked good. Really can't think of any negatives to our stay. Would highly recommend if staying in Bournemouth."

Royal Bath Hotel
8/10 Good
"Hotel was in a great location for getting out and about to explore Bournemouth. Hotel had a sense of faded grandure, A charge was added for the use of the pool with a non working jacuzzi. The breakfast could have had a bit more choice, The best asset were the staff who we're friendly helpful and thoughtful ."

Moxy Southampton
10/10 Excellent
"It is very convenient, a few minutes walk to the biggest Westquay shopping mall, the gate and the walking street at Southampton. Their breakfast starts at 6am, which is helpful for early leaving tenants."

Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth - Gunwharf Quays by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Nice clean rooms, lovely staff and convenience to local area is great."

Laguna Hotel
8/10 Good
"Obviously this is a more old fashioned hotel but the pool was lovely and the room was spacious and clean although with a strong, funny smell. Unfortunately we were there on the hottest day of the year and the rooms were extremely hot with no fans. We couldn’t get all of the windows open - I think one was jammed shut. Staff were generally helpful and friendly although I had to constantly ask the waitress for basic things like butter, marmalade etc at breakfast as they weren’t brought to us. The other waitresses/waiters did seem much friendlier/more efficient. Having said that it was very hot for the staff to have to work in."

Leonardo Hotel Southampton
8/10 Good
"If you are travelling from Southampton Central Railway station, it is best to take a bus right at the train station and then walk 5 minutes to the hotel. About 10 minutes walk passing thru the park to many eating places."

Village Hotel Southampton Eastleigh
10/10 Excellent
"Nice stay for one night at this hotel partly due to an early hospital appointment and partly to take advantage of the aircon during a heatwave! Rooms are compact but adequate with controllable aircon, comfortable beds and a good sized TV. As has been mentioned on other reviews bathrooms have a clear glass door which was fine as privacy is maintained due to the layout of the bathroom. Location is good for the airport and hospital. Parking is chargeable (£10/24 hours midweek) but is made reasonably clear when booking. Lobby and restaurant were a bit too cool for me but self service check in was efficient with staff available to help. Restaurant had a good range of dishes and service was good."
