Family hotel that has the feel of friendship and quirkyness. Our room large and very comfortable and buffet breakfast was superb with cheese choice in particular enormous.

Amazing stay!

An amazing stay which I highly recommend! Lugo is a wonderful and beautiful city to visit and this hotel is the place to stay! The whole staff is so kind, helpful and friendly. It’s a magnificent historical building with all the comfort of modern hotel! In the heart of all the highlights of the city!

Delightful hotel inside the walled town of Lugo. We were driving from Leon and didn’t have parking instructions. You have to drive into the city at Porta Mina to access the hotel’s very convenient parking. The staff was friendly. Our room was clean and spacious but missing some minor amenities like tissues, hair conditioner, and complimentary drinking water available at comparable hotels on our trip. Definitely stay here for the unbeatable access to the old town walls and the cathedral.

Sehr schönes Hotel in der Altstadt von Lugo. Spezielle Einrichtung in alles Bereichen… Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und es wurde viel angeboten, mussten dies extra bezahlen da nicht im Zimmerpreis enthalten war. Das Personal war sehr nett.

Personal muy atento, edificio bonito, bien situado

Personal muy amable, y muy buen punto el tener disponibilidad de aparcar el coche al lado del mismo hotel, PERO: Siendo una suite esperaba tener la típica estancia a parte de la cama, cosa que no teníamos en la habitación. Era una habitación doble grande. Lo que me lleva al siguiente punto negativo de la suite. Si vas con críos y pides la suite para tener más espacio, pues mejor reserva en otra parte, porque estaréis todos en la misma estancia. Además, la decoración de la habitación digamos que no era muy para todos los públicos 😅 Los amenities del baño se limitaban a tres botes con champú, gel y crema. Sin albornoces. Y, otra cosa que sueles tener cuando reservas suite, que es el típico detalle de bienvenida en la habitación y el minibar incluído, en este hotel ni lo uno ni lo otro. En definitiva, aunque el personal del hotel es súper amable y atento, no creo que repita.

Oferta engañosa

Vimos la oferta de este hotel y nos pareció muy buena. Era una oferta no reembolsable. Cuando llegamos al hotel y vimos la habitación nos quedamos a cuadros ya que nos dieron una habitación minúscula con una cama en la que malamente cabía una persona e íbamos dos, y no delgados precisamente. Al abrir el correo electrónico vimos que el hotel nos había mandado un mail en el que nos indicaba que habíamos reservado una habitación con una cama de 135 centímetros y ya no teníamos forma de cancelarlo ya que la reserva estaba hecha y era no reembolsable. Si nos hubieran dado la opción de reembolso nos hubiéramos ido a otro hotel sin dudarlo. Lo que no vemos bien es que no avisen de estos detalles en la oferta y que en una web de tanto prestigio como es hoteles.com no filtren este tipo de ofertas engañosas en detrimento de los clientes. Solo te lo comunican cuando ya tienes hecha la reserva y no hay forma de cancelarla porque te lo cobran de todas formas.

This is a unique hotel. We stayed in the attic room, but not the one shown in picture, very unusual. Bathtub with handheld shower, hard to control and not shoot water across the room! Friends stayed in other attic room (pictured) which had a glass box shower and separate tub, but no door between bedroom and bath. Lighting is odd. Very bright over bed, very dim in sitting area. Stairs between 2nd and 3rd floors. Very clean.
