This beautiful neoclassical mansion, dating back to the early 1900s, is a true gem in the heart of Ludington. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, with luxurious bedding and thoughtful amenities that made our stay truly relaxing. Jenna and Chris Simpler, the innkeepers, were exceptional hosts, displaying warm hospitality and catering to our every need with genuine care and attention to detail. Their passion for preserving the mansion’s rich history added a special touch to the experience.
The breakfasts were a highlight, featuring creative, locally sourced dishes that were both interesting and delicious. However, for lighter eaters like myself, it would be great if they offered a continental breakfast option alongside the multi-course gourmet spread. Overall, the Cartier Mansion is a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique, history-filled getaway with outstanding hospitality. I highly recommend it and look forward to staying there again. "
