"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "The hotel is someway out of the centre of Oxford, which makes a stay very affordable, compared to inner city accommodation. The Peartree Park and ride makes travel into the city very easy, and it runs every few minutes. If buses aren't your thing, Ubers are plentiful and cheap out of peak times.Staff at the hotel were very helpful, friendly and professional , the food at the restaurant was good with plenty of choices. Highly recommend A+"

"Had a fabulous 2 night stay in a balcony room for our anniversary. The room was lovely as was the balcony, especially on the hottest day of the year! The hotels location was perfect, just minutes from bars and restaurants yet it was peaceful and quiet when sat in the outside terrace. Breakfast was delicious, the eggs Benedict was just what we fancied. It was so good we had it both mornings. Would highly recommend this hotel."

"We overall had a wonderful stay, however there were a few areas that improvements are needed. The good - -Rooms very spacious (and thank god for the aircon in the heat). -The property was clean and also had a wonderful garden area. It’s really close to everything as well. -Breakfast was also really good value for money with everything you can think of available. -Friendly staff The bad -Check in. Minimal staff to check guests in at 3pm (check in time) so was extremely long wait. Were offered free drinks from the bar as an apology (which turned out to be a limited selection when claiming when that were not made aware of when first given them, however they are aware of how many guests are checking in on what day, staffing accordingly would make sense. -Bathroom really needs updating - the shower over the bath has zero pressure. The anti slip severely stained, as is the plug hole. Tap for sink also only just hangs over the sink so when washing hands, water goes everywhere. We were also unfortunately to find hairs from previous guest still in the bath -Cleaners. On morning of check out, we were making most of our room before leaving due to us not wanting to be too early to where we were heading onto. Around 9:30 the cleaner knocked to see if we were still present. Made her aware that we didn’t plan on leaving until around 10:30/10:45. 20 minutes later she knocked again and seemed extremely annoyed that we were still there."

"I cannot recall leaving a review before however, our experience was one I do not wish to repeat. We booked a suite. It really was not worth the money. Tired, shabby & with air conditioning that sounded like a struggling car engine. The bed however was very comfortable but overpriced. The receptionists on both days were lovely & very welcoming. Breakfast was terrible, by 9.20am pastries had ran out, no water & they got our order wrong. When it was finally served the toast wasn’t toasted, it was lukewarm cheap warm bread. The scrambled eggs were like rubber. The full English breakfast was inedible. The mushroom was like the sole of an old shoe, the bacon was as hard as a shatterproof ruler. Need I go on? It was rather interesting to overhear from the other side of the ‘restaurant’ that it was like being in Fawlty Towers and I have to agree, it was!! We expressed our concerns to the manager about the breakfast and rather than waiting another 30 mins to have a replacement (yes, it took that long to be served) we just wanted to leave. We’ve never left a hotel so early to go home. This is a hotel that appears thrives on tourists and coach tours. For the couple that want a lovely time away we found so many more places within yards that we could not believe we opted for this hotel. Gutted."
