"Elevator smelled like oil really bad. Pictures make it seem like a nice hotel but much different when you get there. They are putting rock on the outside but it still needs lots of work inside. They need to lower the cost so people don’t think their getting a run for their money."

"Check-in was fairly easy, 1 key card worked most of the time, other did not. Room was pretty good, a little wear and tear, but nothing too bad. Bed wasn’t the MOST comfortable, but again, not bad. Felt like the rate was a little high, especially for lack of options at breakfast."

"check-in took forever and I had to listen to the hotel deliberately blaring music on the first floor. treadmill was broken in the 'fitness center' which was the only reason I chose the hotel over cheaper ones, and when I took the stairs back to my room there were men hanging out, drinking beer in the stairwell. When I stayed at this hotel a few years ago I thought it was a good deal but it must be under new management."

"I did not like the fact that Hampton Inn, Galveston Tx, charges parking fees of $20 per night. That was maybe was a hidden cost unknown to Expedia. I was able to get the night desk to waive the charges, thankfully. LaQuinta in San Antonio also charged me nightly for outside parking which I was dumb enough not to notice until after checkout. Hope this review alerts future travelers. It seems this is becoming hotel industry policy so be on the alert. It seems fees will be waived if customer complains."
