Top Lofoten Hotel Reviews

Henningsvær Bryggehotell - by Classic Norway Hotels
10/10 Excellent
"We only stayed at the hotel 1 night and we wish we had stayed there longer. The staff were really friendly and happy to talk with us. Our room was amazing with views of the mountain and of the water. It was large and had all the amenities of our luxury hotel. Bathroom as huge with a double shower and double sinks. Our only issue was our mini-fridge did not work so the staff gave us a ice bucket to cool our wine. The location is excellent. Free parking is a bit limited but there is paid parking nearby. We ate dinner at the restaurant and had breakfast the next day and they were all excellent. We had drinks at the bar after dinner and our bartender, Max, was super chill and friendly. I would absolutely stay there again."

Lofoten Basecamp

"What an incredible place to stay! The cabins are modern and clean. We received a warm welcome from Olaf. There’s a beautiful sauna and a BBQ gazebo where you can make dinner on fire. The location is also great - very close to some incredible beaches and hikes. Highly recommend staying here!"

Thon Hotel Svolvær
10/10 Excellent
"Nice and clean, modern, coffee and tea available in the lobby. The breakfast had many options and all allergens are labeled. It’s not in the center of the restaurants and shops on the warf but it’s just a few min walk away. The staff were very friendly and kind. Room and bed were comfortable."

"The room 201 had an amazing location overlooking the bay. It was plenty big enough for our party of 3 and nicely laid out with comfortable beds and a balcony. The views of the bay were outstanding. It needs a bit of TLC though, chips out of the kitchen cupboards, fridge door not catching properly and the curtains in the living room didn’t meet in the middle which isn’t great when you have midnight sun. I was also a bit surprised to have to strip the beds before I left but it wasn’t a major thing."

Nordis Hotel Lofoten

"Adequate for a few nights Kind of a bare bones place. About 6-7 blocks from the main square. No elevator."

Thon Hotel Lofoten

"The hotel's location is ideal. The rooms are very comfortable, the common areas are well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. The only area that could use better organization is the restaurant, which is a little disorganized."

"We chose the glamping option and loved it. Views are absolutely spectacular. When you open the tent doors, you're immediately hit with a beautiful view of the water and surround mountains and fjords. The heater in the tent warmed up the entire room very quickly. Bed was incredibly comfy. There was a communal kitchen and bathroom very close by. Super convenient. If traveling during the summer, bring an eye mask as it's very bright in the tent with the sun being up 24/7."

"Really beautiful, cute cabins right on the water. Beautiful views, kitchen was fully stocked, blackout curtains in the bedroom and the living room area was perfect for relaxing. We'd give it a 5-start except for the fact that the smoke alarms were overly sensitive when cooking. When boiling water, the alarm would go off because the sensor is right above the stove. Then the alarm malfunctioned and did some "quieter" beeping for 2 hours straight. It took us awhile to even realize that it was the smoke detector. We notified staff and they were super helpful and eventually found a fix. Seems small but it was quite annoying for the duration of our trip."
