Locust Grove Hotels near Charlottesville

"The property is great! Convenient to most everything in Charlottesville. I only had two problems with my stay but I will stay there again. First, the heat would not shut off. I couldn’t get it to change to air, auto or off. We ended up opening the windows and that saved the trip. Also, a trash can in or near the bathroom would be helpful. Also a liner in the trash can in the sitting area would be appreciated by guests and housekeeping. It was gross to walk from the bathroom to the sitting area with feminine hygiene products to put in an unlined garbage can - we added a bag btw. Next time I will just move the garbage can nearer to the bathroom and anyone with kitchen trash can make the trip to that can. "

"Old building with cheaper upgrades in rooms but bed was very comfortable and shower was hot. There appeared to be a good breakfast which we passed on. Easy access to downtown."

"Clean facility, friendly staff. It was a five minute walk to the historic downtown mall. Parking on site had plenty of room. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in downtown Charlottesville. "

"I’m a very light sleeper and since this hotel is right off of a major highway; I didn’t get any sleep at all lastnight. The sounds of the cars along with people blasting music outside ruined the night But the hotel is beautiful. Staff is very friendly "

"No working elevator for a room on the third floor, no air conditioning in the hallway, only one entrance for the entire building. Terrible cancellation policies. Overall not a pleasant experience. "

"Hotel was not what i expected. Construction workers, many of them staying there. Very loud outside, drinking beer and hanging outside the rooms. Eventually, they quieted down around 930pm. Parking lot very full with big trucks, parked far away from my room and walked with luggage up narrow stairwell. Booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1. I was afraid of Friday night party given my experience with Thursday night. Breakfast was carb only, no variety and im diabetic. Not diabetic friendly. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I will say staff was very kind and curious, only thing I'll recommend. "
