"I'll preface this by saying my family and I stayed here a couple of years ago and felt like we found a hidden gem! It was off the beaten path, the parking lot felt safer, we loved our theme room suite, the staff was great, the breakfast was wonderful.
Fast forward to this past weekend, we stayed again. Check in was smooth, the room was clean, the parking lot still felt safer than a downtown hotel but the positives ended there. The beds were worn in with huge divets on sleep surfaces making it feel like you were rolling downhill. There was zero housekeeping--no garbage collection, no towel refreshes even when requested at the front, no sweeping of the room, which would have been no issue had there been a broom provided in the room but with 3 kids, things need to be cleaned every day.
The Continental breakfast should be advertised as for "the first 25 people" as they don't restock things like fresh fruit, boiled eggs or yogurt. Once it's gone it's gone, "we have to save some for tomorrow" is what the staff said (attended at 6am and 8am).
The pool area was busy but unkept with the same mud tracks through the pool deck on day one as on day three when we left. By day 3, the water was disgusting with heavy booger and hair contamination. When I asked staff for anything (twice in the evening, once about garbage removal and once about a towel refresh) they both times said they were new here and unsure, "you can ask in the morning". Unfortunately, we won't be staying here again."
