"We enjoyed our overnight stay. It's a gem for people the NC500 and pewho enjoy trout fishing. The loch is loaded with fish.
The Inn next door is part of the complex which provides hospitality aplenty, a warm fire and good company. Good beer selection and nice food.
There is a BBQ but not the best of weather to use it.
The room had most things you need for cooking. The beds are comfortable. The shower was a challenge to work out to use but got there.
The kitchen had everything we needed.
In short, a great place to stay."
"What a find ! The Drumbeg Hotel
is a relaxing , welcoming haven ! Drumbeg itself was a peaceful village surrounded by stunning countryside and the views of the Loch and hills from
the hotel were captivating . We received a warm welcome and our room was spotlessly clean, warm and super comfortable . The menu choices
for dinner were many and it was difficult to choose a favourite dish . When my meal arrived the portion size was plentiful and the venison casserole absolutely delicious . Breakfast was similarly satisfying with both continental and cooked choices . We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel . It was amazing !"
"Since the TV show 'A River Somewhere' in 1997 I have wanted to visit this hotel!
For that reason I loved it. The staff were friendly, the food was excellent, parking is plentiful and the scenery magnificent. Lochs are all around with a real history of successful catches! However, I was incredibly sad to see this historic hotel, in this stunning scenery struggling in these current times. Having been a popular resort since 1886 I feel it should be supported and resurrected into 'the place to go' once again. I don't understand why the Scots aren't clambering to reignite a passion for a place with such history in such a unique situation. It's a place where you really can switch off from the world and reconnect with nature. I would recommend to everyone to visit, take your time, drive carefully, look around and someone, for goodness sake, come up with a way to keep this landmark alive!"
"The owners provide great communication during my booking process, before arriving and during my stay. The husband and wife team provided a great experience for my stay. The property is set in a very relaxing and pictures location. Everything could want to do in Scourie is in walking distance. I would highly recommend this property for your trip."
"Lovely, spacious rooms and delightful staff. Dinner menu was fantastic and we took up the offer for packed lunches (sandwich, yoghurt, crisps and delicious rocky road) for our continuing NC500 journey which were excellent and very inexpensive.
Loved the laid back atmosphere, we felt comfortable and at home.
Definitely recommend! "
