Hotel Playafels

"The rooms were cleaned daily, the house keeping staff were amazing and always friendly and went above and beyond. Fresh towels for the bathroom, toilet paper, and fresh pool towels were provided each day. The mini fridge took a while to cool our items. The shower did not seal so every time we took a shower water went everywhere all over the bathroom floor. The black out shades were great although they had a sensor so they did open randomly a few times. Not a huge inconvenience but it did startle us when they opened randomly. We purchased coffee every day from the bar downstairs and each day we were charged a different rate. Not by much, but it was still interesting each time. The pool area was nice and the direct access to the beach from the hotel was a huge plus. Although many people would leave their towels on the loungers and leave the pool area for a while and then come back. The air conditioning was amazing and did not disappoint. Proximity to dining options and mini supermarkets were extremely convenient. The balconies were nice to use to dry bathing suits from a day at the beach/pool."

"The hotel was nice, convenient for train station, beach and supermarket and had good outdoor facilities. We had a leak in our bathroom on the first night from above, but when reported to reception it was a case of them waiting for the people above to wake up ( even though there had been an issue the previous day)! It was only when it started pouring through the ceiling that I found and showed another employee who inspected and went straight to reception. We had a new room immediately. There was a slight undercurrent of displeasure at UK tourists and this was disappointing."

"We had an excellent stay for a few days. A great apartment, just one road from the beach and swimming pool. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Transport links were good; a 15 minute walk to the railway station or the bus stop just around the corner."

"I loved this place! It was spotless and looked exactly like the pictures. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach. The highlight for us was definitely the patio. It was spacious, relaxing, and the perfect spot to enjoy our mornings and evenings. Another bonus was that this was the only apartment on the level, which gave us extra privacy and made our stay even more peaceful. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, and I would happily come back!"

"The rooms were clean but could use some modernization. The hotel was built in 1962 and could use some updates. The property does have a new restaurant/bar that is very nice. Has good food and amazing drinks. The breakfast buffet, included in our stay, was pretty awesome. Hot and cold items, several juices and coffee. The pool was nice and clean, we used it several times. Some of the tile work needs to be repaired but overall a great area. Our room did have a beach view, note the beach is a quick walk across the street. The street in front of our room could be a bit loud at night so keep this in mind if you book this room location. It did not bother my husband who can sleep through almost anything, I am a night owl so I was fine too. The beach was nice and had a restaurant, Dolce Vita, that was pretty good too. They also had loungers and umbrellas if you were getting a drink or food. The hotel did let us borrow beach towels that you could swap every three days. They also had a limited amount of chairs and umbrellas you could borrow for the day, first come first serve. The front desk helped with questions about the train and and some sites we wanted to see. Even wrote down directions and highlighted stops. Overall it was a great trip and good stay. Yes, I would come back again."
