While some holiday rentals can feel sparse and functional, in contrast it is obvious that a lot of thought and care has been put into making the cottage feel like a home. "We had a room overlooking the canal, so had great views. We didn’t use spa but the main hotel and restaurant was very good and we enjoyed our one night stay. Staff at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We didn’t use spa walks along the canal in both directions which were great. Would recommend"

"Perhaps one the best hotel breakfasts I've had, the breakfast menu was fantastic and the bacon was to die for. The staff at reception and in the dining room were lovely. The room was clean and tidy. It was a single so a little small and wherever you put the chair it was in the way. But great place, great location. Will definitely be back."

"Parking is next door and very reasonable but Llangollen is very busy and we struggled to find a space next door and in other close by car parks. Property was centrally located. Access was up a steel staircase so not suitable for eldery or people of limited mobility. Room was small but comfortable enough, bathroom was clean and compact. Overall good value for money. "

"we were put in a top floor room in the school masters house which unfortunately was closest to the main room which could noisy at times. Breakfast was good altho there seem better options on Saturday than Friday eg Fresh fruit/fruit salad. Staff in the Breakfast Room were attentive and worked were hard "
