"The pictures looked great, the rooms did not match the pictures. One room was pretty musty and dark. The room we stayed in had no hot water in the shower and it took 3 days to fix. They offered to change the room but that room had steep stairs to get to single bedroom down stairs and we had paid for a two bedroom. They should have made sure the shower worked before we arrived. "The ambiance is great. The food at the restaurant is fabulous. Everything we ate was great. They regularly showcase Oaxacan artists. Every two months, apparently. The place is very clean. They also have a free shuttle that takes you downtown, as the hotel is located about 15-20 minutes from the center. The staff is very responsive to your needs. They are dialed in. The only downside was the quality of the WIFI. This may have more to do with the surrounding area and not the hotel. There were work crews in the neighborhood attending to the matter."

"Clean rooms, helpful staff, front desk spoke English, and restaurant staff were more than happy to find someone who did if we were having issues communicating. Food was good, pool was clean, very quiet hotel, which is exactly what we were looking for. The pool became more lively in the evenings with kids, but they were respectful and it was always quiet by night time."
