"One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in for a while. Clean and comfortable rooms, good restaurant, big lobby with huge fireplace and rocking chairs, beautiful walking trails on the property, very convenient shuttle to/from train station and town. Extremely friendly staff. Most of all we enjoyed the incredible views of Denali and the Alaskan range from the back deck right off the lobby. HIGHLY recommend!"
"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was very small for 2 adults with 3 suitcases. The view of the river and mountains was wonderful. I am glad we did not select the courtyard view since the courtyard was a dark hallway between the individual unit entries on either side. Great place for the price. The heater was adequate for the 45 degrees from last night, but it may be weak on colder nights. "
"Fantastic lodging option and very affordable. The rooms are located above a very popular bar that does Karaoke night which is very fun and lively. Everytime I told people in the area I was staying at the Fairview Inn they would always ask me questions about the place because of its rich history. Be aware though that the rooms are quite small and there are shared bathrooms, but with two bathrooms you won’t have to wait long to use them and they’re cleaned every day. I highly recommend the Fairview Inn if you’re okay in a smaller space and just need a room for sleeping while enjoying what Alaska has to offer."
