"Property is very grand and well appointed. I couldn't find the rooftop bar area, amd the sauna and steam room were turned off. I only stayed a day and I'm sure if I asked someone, they would have helped. Overall nice place. Think it's a bit of a liberty to have to either park outside in the council pay & display, or pay £20pd to park inside the hotel carpark. None of which was made clear when booking."

"Lumley Castle is steeped in history. The layout of the communal rooms is a little random and not brilliantly signposted. Staff are all very helpful. Restaurant was good quality. Breakfast good. The rooms lack a few amenities like usb or even plugs by the bed. Soap and shampoo is all that is provided in the bathrooms, which is unusual for a more luxury branded hotel. All small things but would make a difference. but overall it was a very pleasant stay."

"This is a fantastic hotel, we have stayed here many times. Its in the heart of the city centre close to restaurants, bars, shops and public transport. The hotel itself is amazing, rooms are beautiful and modern with everything you need. Staff are very friendly and always on hand if you need them."
