Great front desk!

We stayed here while exhibiting cattle at the Jersey county fair. The front desk was very welcoming and remembered us and our dog from last year!

Decent for the price

For the price this was a decent stay. All the staff were friendly and professional. Joe was especially helpful. The room could use some updating. The bed was comfortable. Conversations in the next room could be heard walls kind of thin bit overall no loud experiences.

Being on a walker the whole staff was right there to help with anything I could need from opening doors in and out to showing me how to work the tv and bringing my luggage in and out, they were all so kind and polite! But we couldn’t find the pool?

The staff was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The room's Air Conditioner was very loud -and made a lot of noise- and then it sort of whined and sputtered each time it ended a cycle. The TV had operational issues. A staff member, Lee, kindly came up and spent about 20 minutes getting the TV to work. She couldn't do anything about the elevator-(but, it needed fixing and was going to report it to maintenance). The breakfast options were very nice. And the corn field surroundings were charming.

Not Disability friendly, policy to sign for service animals and placed in a "pet designated" room which usually smells like pee and poop. ADA Federal law FORBIDS as a service animal is not a pet, and in no way should a disabled person be required to stay in any different accommodations than a regular individual. So i was charged for staying in a non-pet friendly room. Its been turned over to the Illinois persons with disabilities act. Further more, i came and went with my dog on my shoulder pouch for two days, no one had the courtesy to call and ask if i had a dog, one of the managers tried to force her way into my room clearly marked "Do Not Disturb" with an extra latch on, thank goodness as i was half dressed. She stated she needed to check the room, i was mortified and asked if she saw the sigh... very low class, uninformed and tacky individuals. I've stayed at the Ritz and never had one question, no declaration, no signatures, and never ever relegated to a Pet Friendly room as my animal is AKC Regestered Service and therapy.. not a fly by night fake by any means. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Plus there was no chair in the room, the desk was tacky, the drain on the sink was malfunctioning and the bathtub plug did not work.
