Nice historic hotel, but a little quirky!

Door key code is emailed but the process ti unlock and locked the door is fiddly. Breakfast is also different, again via another email for a standard breakfast or if you wish you can request something special from the list, the breakfast is then left in a Browne paper bag in the breakfast room fridge with your room number on the next morning. Parking also has to be paid for as it’s a public car park just outside the hotel.

Was supposed to have a single room, room had sixbunk beds. Was informed if I needed a special order breakfast needed to order on line. I didn't need a special breakfast so didn't order. I got no breakfast becasue I hadn't ordered.

Boutique hotel: a gem outside of the city centre

This boutique hotel provided excellent service from check in to check out. There is no onsite check in but the instructions provided were very clear. I appreciated that they also explained how to access the elevator. The room was very comfortable and the decor was on point for being a former military barracks building. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Being able to customize it was wonderful! Coffee, espresso beverages and tea were all available round the clock. The hotel is outside of the town centre which, for some, would be a drawback but I really enjoyed the 26 min walk to the town centre via pathways and gardens. I used public transit from the train station with my luggage and it was straightforward with no transfers and the stop is close to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastiskt boende med skön säng i tyst miljö

Väldigt trevligt boende med stort rum och skön säng. Väldigt tyst. Vi hörde ingen annan överhuvudtaget och inget störande ljud utifrån heller. Frukosten var bra. Men det blir väldigt många små förpackningar då allt har sin egen förpackning. Lösning med påse och plastburkar till allt blött passar bäst för de som tar med sig maten. De som äter i matsalen bör få det i återanvändbara förpackningar. Så även om syftet med anpassad personlig frukost med hållbarhet i fokus når man inte ända fram.

Mycket nöjda!

Trevligt bemötande, väldigt fint rum, rent och fräscht. Skön säng och många härliga kuddar! Funkade bra med frukostkasse men saknade varm frukost. Vi är mycket nöjda med vår vistelse, i historiska lokaler med mycket intressant att titta på i mässen. Vi kan mycket väl tänka oss att återkomma i framtiden. Tack!

Fint men ingen själ

Vi har väldigt blandade känslor efter vårt vistelse. Rummet var väldigt fint, rymligt och rent. Att bo i en byggnad med mycket historia var häftigt. Men koncepten för osynligt service, ingen reception och ta-med-frukost möter inte standarder för ett finare hotell där man betalar nästan 2000kr/natt. Att beställa frukost i förväg är en underbar idé för att minska på matsvinn. Men frukosten brukar också vara en viktig del av upplevelsen i ett hotell. Då ska man inte kompromissa för mycket på den. Det är alltså väldigt omysigt att få sin frukost i små byttor (fruktsalladen var dessutom fortfarande nedfryst), och ganska kontraproduktivt när det gäller hållbarhet. Fortsätt med förbeställningar men servera gärna frukosten vid bordet i vanliga skålar. När det gäller valet att inte ha någon reception eller synlig personal. Det är alltid trevligt att känna en mänsklig närvaro i ett så stort hotell. Det saknades definitivt i detta fall (även inom inchecknings tider). Ha en träffpunkt (reception?) och en klocka kanske i stället för att bara nås via telefon. Det kommer att ge en mycket varmare och mer välkomnande intryck. En sista punkt är att byggnaden verkar ha en otroligt fin och unik konferenslokal ovanför hotellet. Ni skulle troligtvis vinna om ni bjöd era hotellgäster på den. Dyka upp frukost där eller bjud på kaffe/te/bubbelvatten i biblioteket vid incheckningen (?). Igen: Städat och rent hotell, mycket potential för att få det riktigt mysigt, men saknar själ.

Rent och fräscht, väldigt sköna sängar. Smidigt med både in- och utcheckning. Färdiga frukostpåsar bidrar till mindre svinn, dock väl tilltaget av det man beställt och gott. Kommer gärna tillbaka.

Fint hotell

Vi hade en väldigt trevlig vistelse här och kan varmt rekommendera hotellet! Rummen var fina och framför allt sängarna var otroligt sköna, vilket gjorde att vi sov riktigt bra. Det märktes att det är ett ställe där man satsat på komfort och trivsel. Det som drar ner betyget lite är att servicen saknades en del, och att frukosten var ganska medelmåttig – inget fel på den, men inget som stack ut heller. Hade varit fint med lite mer omtanke kring det. Trots det hade vi absolut valt att bo här igen nästa gång vi kommer till Vadstena. En härlig plats för avkoppling och ett bra läge för att utforska stan.

Trevligt boende!

Trevligt hotell med sköna sängar. Förstod oss inte på hur vi skulle få igång TV:n. Det där med att beställa frukost dagen innan o sedan hämta i kylskåpet var ju okej men det var ju fruset tyvärr.... Saknade att det inte fanns personal någonstans.
