Classic motor inn

We stayed here nine years ago, and it is just like we remembered it. We really enjoyed our stay. It is a classic motor inn, and it is family owned and operated. I highly recommend it.

Best-maintained Older Motel We've Visited

This appears to be a facility built in the 50s but impeccably maintained. Our room was in virtually like-new condition - a credit to their housekeeping staff, the craftsmen who have completed updates, and the management. Would go out of my way to stay there again.

Room was very dated and walls were thin, could hear everytime the person next door got in and out of bed. The carpet was very stained but the rest of the room was clean. Everything worked as it should. We did have our dogs and they added on $20 each when we checked in, it would have been nice to know this beforehand but it was not disclosed.

Front desk night manager was accommodating beyond the call of duty of a very tired traveler clueless about backing up a trailer. Helped me park my rental truck and came out again when I couldn’t unlock my room. At 11:00 PM. Without complaint. Room was simple but spotless. Thanks.

As soon as we opened our room, there was a funny poop-like smell. We thought it would go away but it didn’t. Even after spraying perfume, peeling oranges, the room stayed stinky. The carpet was dirty, the bathroom tile floors were sticky. We were just passing through and although I managed to get some sleep, I slept with a mask on. The area felt unsafe. It was surrounded by run-down houses and buildings. Over-priced and old. I do not recommend this inn.

I was in a King Suite and it was very spacious. The property appeared to have been recently renovated. It was clean and well maintained from all aspects. They have an outdoor pool in great condition and a playground for the kids, also in great condition. The town of Limon is small and there is not much there, but they have all the essentials (food, fuel, basic shopping, etc). It was a quiet place. I was there on a business trip. I did notice there was no electrical outlet to plug in my laptop at the desk when working from my room so I got an extension cord from a hardware store down the street. It was practically within walking distance.

This was a good place to stop and rest after a long drive. The room seemed decent and mostly clean. Maybe could have used another vacuuming before guests stayed. When I checked in it took awhile for someone to assist me. When I checked out there was no one there to talk to even after ringing the bell so I dropped my keys in the box and left. Some other people checking out did the same after waiting a little. For one night, it was definitely a good option. If it were for a long stay, I don’t know that I’d choose it.
