This is the most unusually experience staying in a place. This is a House, with several rooms to rent. No toilets inside the rooms. No Ac, no fans. Toilet paper on the hallway to share with everybody. Terrible showers. The bed was good and the sheets were clean. The first room that she gave me had NO windows and no fans. I went to the toilet and was dirty so she changed the room. This room was in a 4th floor. The water for the showers was weaker than you can imagine.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Las Casa Del Viajero. The cost is substantially lower than the two primary options near the airport, and if you are comfortable in a regular, non-tourist area, the accommodations are good. We were promised breakfast, but it was not ready right at the starting time and we had to get to the airport for our flight.

It’s a hostel in a 3rd world country. Also, very inexpensive. You get what you pay for. Clean enough. Warm water. They made us breakfast. The neighborhood is noisy and smelly. $23 for a night for 4 people - worth it.

Cheap ($19) and close to the airport! The owner is very friendly and helpful! She cooked up a great breakfast of eggs, rolls, and coffee/tea. The neighborhood is older and rundown. However, the residents are just normal people---women sweeping the sidewalk in the morning, children walking to school, lady selling food at a stand, taxi driver polishing his car, etc. I felt it was a good introduction to the Peruvian culture and am happy we stayed there!

I had a great stay at Casa del Viajero !! Great place to stay clean and neat !! Señora Nancy is super sweet and so very helpful on many ways!! I arrived in Lima airport on a late flight and was able to take the 10 minute walk there where Señora Nancy was still up. The following she served breakfast and then walked back to the airport to catch my next flight. Highly recommend, especially if you need to stay near the airport. Muchss grscias Nancy!!

Señor Nancy was so very sweet, allowed early check-in and immediately made me some fresh, hot coffee with toasted rolls and a banana. I had a 16-hour layover in Lima and this place was perfect as it was about a 5-minute Uber ride to the hotel. As others mentioned, the neighborhood seems a little sketchy but I, a solo older woman, walked around for about 45 minutes, had absolutely no issues and never felt unsafe. What you are getting is a room with a bed, no tv which was fine with me as I was not staying there very long and a very clean, shared bathroom. Señora Nancy had a cleaning person who continuously cleaned everything including the bathroom after someone showered. Overall, I would definitely stay there again for a short-term stay. It is quite far from the main attractions you would want to see in Lima.

Fine place to stay one night between flights, but you can no longer walk here from the airport. Instead you must take a 20-30 minute taxi. It is very basic with no sign on the door. Friendly staff but I did not feel safe in the area as a solo woman traveler. Next time would splurge for hotel attached to airport and actually walking distance.
