"The hardware of this hotel is good but staff are not very customer oriented except for the front office manager called Candy. She's very helpful and has very good customer service skills. Avoid rooms facing entrance, its very noisy at night because other tourists are dragging their luggage onto the stone pavement right outside the entrance . Our room came with breakfast but it is not worth getting up for. The breakfast room is not inside the hotel and is down the road in another building....

"I booked this hotel because I wanted a swimming pool and amazing service. I got neither of those. The service was only ok because I was traveling with a translator. My translator said if I had been by myself they wouldn’t be able to check me in. In China I expect this, but not at a 5 star hotel. Hotel room: after 2 hours of the AC on high the room was no cooler. "The room is modern and spacious. Excellent location as it’s just next to the old town. Staff is very friendly. As we had 2 rooms, I’ve emailed to the hotel in advance to have it near to each other. It was nice that they did as the hotel’s layout is like a courtyard style. So you can imagine if one has to walk from one building to the other in the cold. It was also great that they had the WeChat services which enable guest to contact the hotel directly for any request. Thought the idea was excellent. Highly recommended! "
