"The room structure was very inconvenient and unsafe. There were logs of wood jutting out in the form of tables or something like that. And it was very hard to communicate with the hotel staff. Will not stay again. "

"It was a terrible experience from start to finish. The flat reeked of smoke, communication with the host was awful, and to top it off, there were large spiders. I reported the issues to both Hotels.com and the host, but the experience was beyond disappointing. Would not recommend."

"We were really disappointed with our stay. The place was not clean at all — we found hair everywhere, which was very off-putting. The bathroom was dirty and had black bits on the floor, making it feel unhygienic. The freezer was also very dirty, with bits of hair inside it — absolutely unacceptable. "Lovely hotel. Great location by the train station. If you're looking for something in the city center, this might not be the hotel for you - but as a someone pass through and stopping in Basel for a night, it was perfect. Affordable for Switzerland. Very large rooms. We were there during a heatwave and not only was the AC great, but the hotel had ice and water. Very good internet (I had some work video calls and was a little nervous after traveling to some other hotels around Europe). Would 100% stay there again. Felt like it was a great find. "
